7 Tips to Shed Fat and Get Leaner

Medifast weight loss planAlmost everyone that I know wants to shed fat and get leaner. And as you know, that is most of the time very difficult to do. The good news is, that I’ve found it much easier to lose body fat when I apply these 7 smart tips:

Only eat when you are hungry
To help you eat only when you are hungry, use a hungry scale of one to 5 (one being not hungry at all, where a 5 is almost starving) to rate your hunger with. When you want to eat something, use the hunger scale to determine whether you should eat or wait until later.

Stop eating when you are full
Try to notice when you start feeling full and make a rule of stopping when you feel full. It will help you to consume less calories and to lose weight.

Stick to the right portion sizes
Invest in a kitchen scale and get to your right portion sizes. Sticking to those portion sizes will ensure that you don’t overeat and will help you to cut back on calories and fat.

Opt for cardio interval training
The number one type of cardio training that you should be spending your time on is cardio interval training – it burns the most calories and fat of all the other cardio types. For best results you should try to get about 3 sessions in a week of 20 minutes each.

Don’t skip weight training
Skipping weight training because you are scared of getting bulky, is one of the biggest fat loss mistakes you can make. Weight training is actually one of the best ways to get lean and lose some fat.

Include fat burning foods in your diet
Make sure that you include lots of fat burning foods in your diet – they help to speed up weight loss just by eating them.

Eat 6 smaller meals more often
Eating smaller meals more frequently will help you to be fuller and will also lead to you eating less. It will also boost your metabolism so that you burn more calories at rest.

Implement these tips together with a regular exercise plan and a healthy, low calorie diet plan and you will start to lose some fat. Just be patient, as it may take some time.
