Medifast weight loss planOf all the different means and methods that exist for shedding those extra pounds, losing weight through motivation and determination is probably one of the lesser attempted for long lasting and successful weight loss. Yet, while it may be generally ignored or at least badly underrated as a viable method by the vast majority of dieters and slimmers, it is valid nonetheless and surprisingly successful in the long term.
Half of the problem that is faced by the greatest number of dieters is in sticking as closely as possible to their diet. There are always plenty of temptations that are going to get in the way and cause you to stray from you path at every turn. But when you include as part of your weight loss strategy some real motivation coupled with a dogged determination which provides a person with that frame of mind that says “success” then it is difficult not to succeed, because that’s what you want above all else.
With that power of weight loss motivation pressing you on, you will have little cause to stray from your diet or exercise routine because you are in that determined mood that will not allow you to be swayed by the temptations of sweet or tasty high calorie foods, or spending time slumped in front of the TV when you should be out running, cycling, swimming or just plain walking in the fresh air. You will feel great because you are doing what your inner sense of determined motivation feels is the right thing to do.
In this mood, the expectation of going out and doing your chosen exercise is a joy and not a chore because you want to do it and you are motivated to do it. The looking forward to the next healthy, low calorie but every bit as tasty meal is a wonderful feeling because you know it will not only be doing you good from a health point of view, but it will be edging you that little bit closer to your weight goal and that spurs you on to stick with that diet and make it work.
Motivation is a powerful feeling and when it is applied to something that you want to achieve, such as losing weight, then it is a powerful ally that will not allow you to waver. Believe it or not, we all have this power within us, we just have to let it out and allow it to work for us in getting us to our goal of a slimmer, fitter, healthier and better looking body.
