Medifast and Exercise – How Much Exercise Should You Do with the Medifast Diet?

Whatever diet plan you’re using to drop excess weight, exercise is always an important part of it all, and it’s no different with Medifast and exercise.

Any time you incorporate a regular exercise program with your Medifast program, you significantly increase your chances of reaching your weight loss goals in a reasonable time.

However, if you’re a rather sedentary person at the moment, they recommend that you wait at least three weeks after you begin the Medifast 5 and 1 Plan before you start a regular exercise regimen. If you’re already exercising, it’s recommended that you cut back on your current regimen by half during the first three weeks on the 5 and 1 Plan. Then you can build it back to where you were gradually.

  1. Stop smoking or never start

Many of us lose strength and bone density as we get older, but by adding some form of resistance training to your workouts you can ameliorate some of the physical effects of aging. Resistance workouts include working with weights, rubber bands, kettle bells, and any other forms of exercise that include some sort of resistance component. What’s great about resistance workouts is that they are also terrific for strength training.

Push-Ups
The good old fashion push-ups are great for working this area of the arm. To do a proper push up you should keep your back straight and go all the way up and down to the point that your nose almost touches the floor keeping your back straight the entire time. If you are not able to do a good push up while being on your toes, then you can bend you legs and do them from your knee.
