NutriSystem Weight Loss

July 7th, 2010 by Inspector | Comments Off | Filed in Diet Tips & Reviews

The Nutrisystem weight loss program is a diet plan that has made a big impact on the diet and fitness industry over the last 10 years. In the beginning the Nutrisystem program started as a weight loss center based solution much like that of the popular competitors Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers, but today the program has moved entirely to mail order (either online or by phone). The basis of the Nutrisystem concept is that the person is able to reduce their calorie intake while not reducing the amount of nutrition that they receive.

Nutrisystem Covers Everyone

One of the best things about the Nutrisystem plan is the fact that it is able to be utilized by just about everyone. It doesn’t matter if you are young or old, male or female, in great shape or a little out of sorts Nutrisystem has a plan that is able to help you get into the best shape of your life. The plan is so effective and is so well designed that weight loss doctors and nutritionists regularly recommend it as a top pick to their patients.

Nutrisystem weight loss goals are designed for those who want to make easy healthier eating a way of life for the long term and not just a short period until they reach some arbitrary weight loss goal.

How much does NutriSystem Cost?

April 6th, 2010 by Inspector | Comments Off | Filed in Diet Tips & Reviews

If you are thinking about signing up for NutriSystem, the first thing you are going to want to know is just how much does Nutrisystem cost. These are the current prices for the three most popular Nutrisystem packages. For each option you can choose either a women’s or men’s plan. Men’s plans include more food, so those are priced a bit higher. Other options include either a diabetic plan or a “silver” plan which is designed for the health needs of dieters who are older. Both of these options are priced exactly the same as the basic plans.

Nutrisystem Basic 4- Week Plan

The Nutrisystem Basic 4 Week plan provides you with 28 days worth of meals. All of these are sent to you in a single shipment. The Nutrisystem meals in the Basic plan are shelf stable and so don’t require refrigeration. The monthly cost for the women’s basic plan is currently $352.23, and shipping fee of $18.95 is extra. The Benefits of Diet Food Delivery Plans

March 29th, 2010 by DietGal | Comments Off | Filed in Diet Tips & Reviews

They have become quite popular in recent times, with companies like Nutrisystem and Medifast leading the field, so what exactly are the benefits of diet food delivery plans and who do they benefit the most? This article takes an overview style look at answering these questions to find out just what people should expect to get out of them and what makes them so popular and successful.

You can read all about them in any one of the many Nutrisystem reviews that exist online or by taking a look at my Diettogo review for a great tasting, but less well known diet meal program. There’s really nothing like experiencing these diets first hand to really get inside one of these diet food delivery systems since taste is so subjective. But at the very least, they are all designed for convenience of the highest degree and aimed at busy people who simply don’t have the time to spend on working with a traditional diet.

Nutrisystem Coupon – Get a Jumpstart with NutriSystem

March 8th, 2010 by DietGal | Comments Off | Filed in Diet Tips & Reviews

The newest Nutrisystem coupon arrived at the beginning of 2010.  Nutrisystem improved their meal plans to maximize the effectiveness of their weight loss programs.  They have added over 50 new foods to their already huge menu.  Also, the whole menu has been improved to be more nutritionally balanced to help you control your hunger.

The Nutrisystem coupon introduced at the beginning of the year will give you 10% off your order, two weeks of free food, free shipping, and a free jumpstart kit.  This coupon is very popular for two reasons.  The first is that Nutrisystem is a very popular weight loss program.  Second is that everyone loves to save money.  After the coupon, Nutrisystem costs around $300 for women and $330 for men.  While that may seem like a lot of money, it isn’t.  The meal programs come out to just over $10 a day.

Understanding the NutriSystem Nourish Program

November 24th, 2009 by Inspector | Comments Off | Filed in Diet Tips & Reviews

The popular, and moderately priced NutriSystem nourish program, is the perfect weight loss program for many. The beauty of the program, aside from it being one of the lowest priced programs currently available, is that it is very simple and easy to use. Instead of you having to come up with your own diet plan and diet menu, it is all calculated for you. You don’t even have to shop for the diet foods, as the main meals are shipped right to your doorstep.

The NutriSystem program itself is a healthy and well-balanced, although fairly light on calories with women only allowed around 1200 per day. Of course, this is pretty good for weight loss with many women sustaining a two pound weight loss per week, if they adhere to the plan.

Foods are nutritiously prepared, low in sodium, saturated and trans fats, and rich in vitamins, soluble fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. While following this diet you are encouraged to eat small portions often, with five meals a day suggested. Although the prepared meals are shipped to your door, you need to buy enough supplemental fruits and vegetables to include six servings a day to your diet.

To get started, take the NutriSystem online analysis, to determine your actual specific program. From this analysis, your meal plans are prepared and once you check out your order, meals are shipped to your door. Other benefits to the program include on-line support and chat rooms, tools and instructions to help you modify your eating habits, fitness guidance and even a free exercise program for you to try. All you actually pay for, when joining this program, is the food which comes to around $300 a month for their pre-packaged meals. All other perks and benefits come free with your membership.

Ease of use is one of the key elements that make this program a success. No matter how busy you are or how little time you have for food preparation, counting calories and carefully measuring portions, you can still successfully lose weight and remain healthy while doing so with this program. Each NutriSystem Nourish program meal comes in its own pack, which can be stored at room temperature. When it’s mealtime you simply open the package, add water if needed and microwave. You will need to cut up fruits or salad and vegetables to add to your meal, but aside from that all of the hard work of dieting is done for you.

NutriSystem D for Type 2 Diabetics

November 16th, 2009 by Inspector | Comments Off | Filed in Diet Tips & Reviews

It is often very difficult for those suffering with diabetes to diet safely, without sending their blood sugar into a tailspin. NutriSystem’s new low-glycemic diet, Nutrisystem D, is the perfect solution for anyone suffering from Type 2 Diabetes to safely lose weight.

It also gives the added bonus of lowering blood sugar levels, cholesterol levels and triglyceride levels. For those of you who are not familiar with low-glycemic diets, they are based on the assumption that eating foods which rank low on the glycemic scale actually help stabilize blood sugar levels and apparently reduce food cravings at the same time!

On the NutriSystem D program, over one hundred and thirty low-sodium meals are offered for the type two diabetic, and meals are to be taken six times a day. The meals include entrees and desserts, with each meal plan carefully mapped out and balanced to help stabilize blood sugar. With the number of diabetics currently on the increase, this is a very popular addition to the NutriSystem diet plans currently available.

It was just launched in Spring 2009, after a year of careful testing via clinical trials. As it can be difficult for a diabetic to successfully diet and lose weight, this program was clinically tested and proven safe to use before it was publicly launched. It was discovered that Nutrisystem D does more than enable weight loss. It also helps control blood sugar and benefits the diabetic in many ways, not just by helping them shed pounds.

The program operates much the same as all of the other NutriSystem programs. A twenty eight day meal plan is prepared and diabetic friendly foods are delivered to your doorstep, packaged in a way that enables you to open and microwave one meal at a time. People participating in this program receive the same benefits as those on other programs, including instructions on modifying your eating habits, exercise CDs and instructions on how to come up with a balanced exercise plan fitting to your particular lifestyle, on line chats and forums, and importantly access to twenty four hour online support from registered dietitians. As with the other specific diet plans, dieters choosing this program still need to supplement their diet with low fat dairy products, fruit and vegetables.

The NutriSystem D program was specifically designed with the diabetic in mind, and the foods and meal plan were created to meet the specialized needs that diabetics have. Knowing how difficult it is for most people with Type 2 diabetes to come up with a successful diet plan that not only enables them to lose weight but to stay healthy and free from side-effects while dieting, this program really does make it easy to shed pounds and still eat a healthy diet.

Jenny Craig vs Nutrisystem

October 22nd, 2009 by Inspector | Comments Off | Filed in Diet Tips & Reviews

Both Jenny Craig and NutriSystem offer similar dieting programs, although there are a few differences in both that are well worth noting. In summary, both programs offer a pre-planned diet program, with pre-packaged food either being bought from their center (with Jenny Craig) or sent directly to your home.

Nutrisystem is a home program. While you can and do get support online, or via telephone, food is conveniently delivered right to your door and you are the one to keep track of your weight. With Jenny Craig, you go to a center where you receive counseling and support, and buy your food. Jenny also has an option to deliver to your door.

Both Jenny Craig and NutriSystem now offer frozen foods as well as the ‘shelf stable’ foods, which are dehydrated or canned food items. The advantage of NutriSystem is that they will ship frozen meals to your home, whereas with Jenny Craig you can only buy the frozen foods from one of their centers.

Perhaps one thing about NutriSystem that many people like is the fact that you don’t have to sign a contract to enlist on their plan. Jenny Craig, on the other hand, requires that you sign a contract with them, whether you sign up for either program. Not signing a contract means that you can cancel your NutriSystem program whenever you like which is a real plus.

Jenny offers different trial programs, where you can sign up for less time than one year. One such program is the “20 pounds for $20″. There is also a joining fee with Jenny Craig, which is an extra expense on top of the food. Of course, a joining fee is a one time fee but it does add to the initial investment you have to make to sign on with this program.

Prior to NutriSystem offering a program with frozen meals, a lot of people were dissatisfied with the selection of food NutriSystem had to offer. Now, though, choices have improved a lot and frozen foods are shipped direct to your home with their excellent Nutrisystem Select program! And, with the overall lower costs of NutriSystem, plus the fact that you don’t have to sign a contract with them, many people are opting for NutriSystem above the Jenny Craig diet system.

Conclusion:

If you feel you need a lot of personal support, then you may be interested in Jenny Craig and I encourage you to give them a call and discuss the Jenny Craig program as they offer a free phone consultation which can give you a very good idea if Jenny Craig is the right program for you. You can find out more about their phone consultations at the following link: Get A Free Phone Consultation from Jenny Craig Today!

On the other hand, if you just prefer to do things on your own, minus the cooking, and you don’t feel that supervision would be of benefit, you can find out for yourself how well NutriSystem works with their current special. Just Sign Up Today and Get 2 Free Weeks of Food at Nutrisystem.com! Start now.

Basically, the choice is yours. Both plans are good options and which one you pick will depend on what you want to get out of it.

NutriSystem for Men Review

October 14th, 2009 by Inspector | Comments Off | Filed in Diet Tips & Reviews

Many diets offer seem like they cater more to women than men. But there are many men who are interested in taking pounds off, and who are also looking for a good diet plan. So that’s why the NutriSystem weight loss program also has an option geared for men.

Within the Men’s NutriSystem program there are three options available; the Advanced Men’s program, the Men’s Silver program for older men, and the Men’s Diabetic program. The program incorporates many of the same benefits as the other NutriSystem programs.

A man on this program is given a twenty eight day meal plan and the pre-packaged foods are delivered to his doorstep, ready to pop into the microwave. Men participating in this program have access to exactly the same benefits as women do, which includes such things as counseling and guidance on how to modify eating habits.

An exercise CD is also included along with guidelines on following a balanced exercise plan. There are also online chats and forums, and free weight loss counseling.

As with all of the other NutriSystem programs, those participating still need to buy additional fruit and vegetables, as well as dairy products in order to supplement and fill out the diet.

The main difference with the men’s program and other programs is the amount of calories included, with the men’s program including about 300 more calories a day. The meals themselves are also meant to be especially tailored to men’s needs, providing the right amount of protein, carbohydrates and omega-3′s.

This plan is a real boon for busy, single men for example. It can be very hard to plan a diet program yourself and then to implement it, and while many men are tremendous cooks, many are not. If you are inclined to lean towards the quick takeaway meal, or freezer dinners, all of which are usually quite high in calories, you will find NutriSystem should work quite well for you.

So, if you are a man wanting to lose weight, the NutriSystem program means having meals delivered directly to the door that only need to be heated up, is a great option. It makes it very easy for you to diet and not have to worry about counting calories, being concerned about portion sizes or making a lot of special diet food or diet plans.

The NutriSystem for Men option also offers the ability for a husband and wife to both diet together, with foods specifically tailored to their own individual needs. There are a lot of benefits to dieting at the same time as someone else. The moral support you can offer one another can often mean the difference between a diet working or not working. Having a men’s and women’s NutriSystem program makes it so much easier to have a diet partner and stick to the plan together.

Lose weight and feel great with NutriSystem Men’s Program which includes more meals with higher amounts of protein. You eat five times a day to help you feel full longer.

NutriSystem Select – Customize your Diet Plan with NutriSystem Select

October 6th, 2009 by Inspector | Comments Off | Filed in Diet Tips & Reviews

The NutriSystem Select program was newly introduced early in 2009 and is fast becoming one of the more popular diet programs that NutriSystem is offering.

Part of the attraction of this particular plan is the addition of over twenty new fresh frozen dishes, including things such as ice cream sandwiches, peach crisps, home style pancakes and pizza! This program offers all of the features that the traditional NutriSystem programs offer, as well as one week’s worth of new frozen meals from the Schwans food delivery service, which add variety to the program, something that dieters are always interested in.

There are two main ways to order this program. The first, and simplest way is to simply order the pre-selected Favorite Package, which is simply a pre-selected assortment of their most popular menu items, based on what others order the most. If you choose this option, you are free to switch to the customized order with your next month’s order. To get started, you can Place Your NutriSystem Select Order Here.

Alternatively, you can completely customize your order, by selecting your own menu items for each meal occasion. An Ordering Wizard walks you through the choices, showing you pictures of each dish with the option of viewing a larger photo and checking out the actual nutrition facts for each meal. The benefit of choosing your menu plan this way is that you can make sure the foods you choose are ones you actually enjoy eating, which will help the whole dieting process go much easier.

The online ordering option is extremely easy to use. For example, when choosing which breakfasts you would like you have some pre-set menu items such as burritos, omelets and pancakes, and you choose an additional twenty one breakfast items to include with your order.

There is a fairly wide variety of items offered, including breakfast cereals, health bars, pastries and scones. Once you’ve completed your breakfast order you click to order lunch and come up with a similar variety of dishes. As with the breakfasts, there are some set meals which you add to by choosing an additional twenty one items which are mainly choices of soups, salads, pasta dishes, cheesy potatoes, etc. The extra dinner meal items you can order include stews, steak, chicken breast, lasagne and other pasta dishes.

If you are concerned about eating the same foods over and over, or if you like to have a lot of variety in your diet meal plan, then using the online order wizard to customize your NutriSystem select program would definitely be the best choice for you. While it is more expensive than other programs offered, you save on having to go out and buy a lot of additional foods to add to your diet as many of these are included in this package.
