The great part about vertical training is that anyone can learn how to jump higher in a short amount of time if you follow the right methods.  So many people mess up when they are trying to jump better and it can be avoided if they learn to train in the correct way.

If you are an athlete like me, then I am pretty sure you know the importance of having a personal sports trainer to help you improve your game. Sure you can go on a self-training program or a DIY training regimen but this is pretty difficult especially if you have no previous experience in doing this or you have no qualified background to dabble into self-training.

As you know, sports activities, training included, entail some risk of injury. This risk is increased if you try to go into it without knowing what you are doing. Hence, it is usually advised to go to a professional first before you adopt or, worse, invent your own training regimen.

Wanting to improve your speed and your vertical leap is the best decision that you can ever make in your entire life as an aspiring basketball player and well-rounded athlete. There are so many truly great exercises that can help you achieve just that. Then again, in order for you accomplish such goal, you need to be consistent and you need discipline to achieve your dream.

Your workout to jump higher must focus on the main muscle groups that you use for jumping and running. Some of the muscles that you need to concentrate on are your glutes, lower calves, hamstrings and quadriceps. These should be your main target because they play a vital role when it comes to sprinting and jumping.
